Podfest Tickets Series

FAQ for Podcast Passholders

Thinking of purchasing a pass for the Podcast Festival? Here’s what you need to know about accessing live events and the Creators Forum.

I purchased a pass – where and when do I pick it up?
All Hot Docs Podcast Festival passes can be picked up at the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema Box Office as of Wednesday, October 31 (11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) and throughout the Festival.

Do I need a ticket to get into Podcasts and Panels?
Upon purchasing a pass, you will receive a 1 ticket to each podcast and/or panel (depending on your pass level) at the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema. You will need to show both your pass and ticket(s) to enter the events. Tickets can either be printed or displayed on your phone or mobile device at the venue. Please note, your pass and tickets are non-transferable.

All Creators Forum events (masterclasses, networking cocktails, and roundtables) at the Centre for Social Innovation - Annex are non-ticketed. You will need to show your Pass to gain entry.

Is there reserved seating for passholders at the Podcasts or Panels?
All seating is General Admission. People will be seated on a first come first served basis. Passholders will have priority seating for each event, upon presentation of their pass, until 30 minutes before the start time of each event, at which point doors will open to regular ticketholders.

Do I need to leave the venue between events?
Your pass gives you priority seating access and will allow you to stay inside the venue between events. The cinema will be cleared for setup, but you are welcome to hang around in the mezzanine to chat or visit our concessions.

Creators Forum

Do I need to sign up for Masterclasses and Industry Roundtables?
Yes; All Access and Creators Forum passholders can RSVP now. Both events have limited seating capacities, so RSVPs will be taken on a first-come-first served basis.

Do I need to RSVP for the Networking Cocktails?
Networking Cocktails are open to patrons with an All Access or Creators Forum pass, no RSVP required. You will need to present your pass to gain admission (one entry per passholder).
